Janet Sabes
Janet F. Sabes, wife of Robert Sabes, is a Minnesota native who grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her parents and family are Norwegian descendants who originally settled in Jackson, Minnesota at the turn of the century. Mrs. Sabes graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis, lived in California, and held a variety of jobs before getting married to Robert Sabes.
Once married, Mrs. Sabes focused her efforts on raising their three sons: Jon, Steve, and Ross. While raising three children, Mrs. Sabes became a nationally ranked doubles tennis player and played an active role in the hospitality business with her husband. In addition, she has become an accomplished golfer, winning the women’s golf championship at Oak Ridge Country Club. Mrs. Sabes remains active with the Sabes Foundation, her seven grandchildren, golf and tennis.
